The Kestrel cannot excavate its own cavity and depends on the larger nest holes of woodpeckers for a nesting place.
Since these are in short supply, the kestrels are often dependent upon man-made nesting boxes.
The house should be placed in an open area, such as in a meadow or along a highway.

KESTREL HOUSE CAMERA:
Our Hawk Eye Birdhouse Camera connects directly to televisions, computers, or other monitoring devices, giving users live, 24/7 real time viewing. Comes with infrared night vision, built in microphone, and a weather shield so it can be used inside and out. One hundred foot RCA cable is hard wired (for audio and video inputs) to camera. Variable focus lens from 1/8” to infinity.
Power is supplied to the camera through 100-foot long cord. The camera is permanently connected to one end of the cord. The other end has three plugs; two plug into a television or computer for audio and video, the third plugs into the voltage converter (included), which in turn plugs into your wall outlet.
