Our duck boxes are high quality and made to withstand the elements. Sustainably grown eastern white pine is 3/4" thick and insulates the duck nest from the elements. The light color helps prevent overheating inside the duck nest box. Pine naturally ages to a streaky shade of gray which allows the duck houses to blend in more naturally with the environment. Ventilation for the duck boxes is provided by an open slot or drilled holes at the top of the house.
Mount the duck nest box near water on a post or in a tree. Ducks prefer oval entrance holes and our duck boxes are designed appropriately for each breed. All of our duck houses are built with a slanted overhanging roof to shield the entrance from the weather. Our duck boxes are large enough inside to install a video camera, offered as an optional accessory.
