The pine used in our bat houses is 3/4" thick and
provides excellent insulation and protection. Bats will crowd into the
house during the day to rest after a night of feasting on insects.

you will be rewarded with dozens of bats using one of the bat boxes for their
residence. It may be necessary to close off access to any existing bat
resting place (attic, roof, shingles) to encourage the bats to use the house
designed for their needs.
